Focused ultrasound heats the tissues and naturally reactivates the production of new collagen and elastin in the skin. This leads to a visible improvement in the appearance of the face, neck, and décolletage.

This technology therefore significantly improves the appearance of the skin and combats sagging, a consequence of skin aging.

HIFU treatment has been recognized by the U.S. health authorities as the only non-surgical facelift. However, it must be kept in mind that this technology does not replace a surgical facelift when skin laxity is too severe.

A session lasts between 30 and 45 minutes depending on the area being treated. The effects of the new collagen are visible 2 months after the sessions, the final result is achieved after 6 months, and the effects last 1 year or more depending on the individual.

Why reshape the facial oval.

The facial oval is defined by the lower part of the face, including the jawline, chin, jowls, and neck.

With age, the skin of the facial oval, like the rest of the face, loses elasticity, and skin laxity develops at the lower part of the face and neck.   

The facial oval tends to sag, jowls appear, and the skin of the neck becomes loose and wrinkled.

Aesthetic HIFU is a non-invasive technology that allows the facial oval to be reshaped and the appearance of the skin improved, creating a tightening effect to give the face a younger, smoother, and more toned appearance.

The principle in detail

Focused ultrasound waves generate a temporary increase in temperature at precisely chosen depths: 1.5mm, 3mm, and 4.5 mm
When the temperature rises above 65°C in these layers of the skin (the protein denaturation threshold), a coagulation zone is created.
New tissue regenerates this area, which then becomes more elastic. The upper layers of the skin are thus tightened.

This technology therefore significantly improves the appearance of the skin (wrinkles) and combats ptosis (sagging) caused by skin aging.

Thanks to tips that reach different depths, this treatment requires 1 to 2 sessions and provides an unequivocal and lasting lifting effect!

The course of the session.

Before any treatment, we conduct a detailed consultation during the first session to define your treatment plan based on the condition of your skin and your goals. 

We perform your HIFU treatment in a private treatment room, by an expert and certified practitioner.

The skin is first cleaned and the areas to be treated are outlined with a pencil. We apply HIFU in a targeted manner to act precisely on the different areas to be treated (oval, neck, face), and obtain optimal results. 

The technique is little or not painful at all. The sensation felt varies greatly from person to person. Most clients describe a painless sensation, but it may be slightly uncomfortable and does not require any social or professional downtime, as you can return to your activities immediately after the session. There is no recovery time because the technique does not cause any downtime. The result remains natural.   

It is up to the practitioner to estimate how many sessions are necessary depending on the condition of the skin and the results obtained after the first session. In most cases, two sessions may be necessary to achieve optimal results.

It should also be noted that 5% of patients are poor responders to "collagen induction" and will not experience the expected effect. These rare insufficient results are completely unpredictable.

Professional tips: 10 days before your HIFU session, a preparatory radiofrequency or microneedling treatment to stimulate the skin is ideal for an optimal response to the ultrasound waves.

2nd session (recommended) 3 months after your 1st Session.

Because stimulating fibroblasts, collagen, and elastin is crucial to achieving very good results, we recommend 1 to 2 sessions of radiofrequency or a 2nd HIFU session (depending on the desired result and the severity of the sagging).

In most cases, and if the skin is prepared beforehand, 1 HIFU session is enough. However, some areas may be less receptive which is why for 3 months after the 1st HIFU session, you will receive a 50% discount if a second HIFU session is needed.

Contraindications

People with a pacemaker, metal implants in the treated area, or pregnant women cannot have the HIFU treatment. Similarly, people with irritated skin, severe couperose, psoriasis, eczema, vitiligo, or dermatoses cannot benefit from this treatment. In cases of severe or cystic acne and generally in cases of an open or infected skin wound.
Moles are not a contraindication, but it is preferable to work around them. 

Recent surgery and/or injections.

Taking anti-inflammatories, cortisone.

Open or infected wound, tumor, diabetes, anticoagulants. 

However, regular and recurring intake of anti-inflammatories or cortisone during these 3 months reduces the expected result. 

Unlike laser or peels, this treatment can be performed on all skin types and in all seasons; sun exposure is not an issue before or after the treatment.

Side effects

- Redness may appear, but these effects generally disappear within a few hours. 

- Slight swelling in the area, tingling, or sensitivity to the touch may occur 48-72 hours after the treatment.

- It is possible to experience muscle sensitivity comparable to mild muscle aches, which will generally disappear within a few days.
