Cryolipolysis is a treatment for reshaping your figure using the effects of cold . Without surgery, needles, or anesthesia , this treatment for stubborn localized fat deposits is quick and painless. The cold effectively reduces localized fat.

This fat-freezing method, sometimes called CoolSculpting, is a similar procedure that, as the name suggests, allows you to reshape your body. It's ideal for people who aren't overweight but want to get rid of unsightly bulges on their stomach, back, love handles, or saddlebags.

The slimming process in action

Cryolipolysis uses precise cooling to a temperature between -5° and -10°C. The fat cells beneath the epidermis are treated and crystallized by the cold , and are then naturally eliminated by the body within three to four weeks after the treatment. One or more sessions are necessary to achieve the desired result, depending on the thickness of the fat deposit. The dead fat cells are eliminated naturally within approximately three to four weeks.

Cryolipolysis allows for the destruction of 30 to 50% of the targeted adipocytes.

Cryolipolysis is not suitable for overall weight loss. The cold can only penetrate 1 to 2 centimeters below the skin, making it ineffective for eliminating excess weight. What happens during a cryolipolysis session?

During the pre-treatment assessment, your Beauty and Curves Paris expert targets the area to be treated and validates the suitability of the Cryolipolysis treatment to your situation and objectives.

Before starting the cryolipolysis session, we apply a cold pad to the area to be treated in order to protect the skin, then we place one or two applicators depending on the areas to be treated, combining the effects of suction and cold on the area to be treated.

For a few minutes, the client experiences slight discomfort from the suction and some tingling, but the area quickly becomes numb thanks to the cold. The device's temperature then gradually decreases, resulting in the complete destruction of the targeted fat cells.

At the end of the session, we perform a massage to reactivate blood circulation.

Following the session, it is common for the client to temporarily experience redness, numbness, bruising, sensitivity, tingling, and itching. All these side effects disappear very quickly.

What are the contraindications for cryolipolysis?

Cryolipolysis is not recommended for people in the following cases:

• Pregnancy or breastfeeding
• history of Raynaud's disease (abnormal narrowing of small arteries in response to cold)
• inflammatory disorders of the post-phlebitis type,
• skin disorders such as eczema or umbilical hernias.
